timmsy19 3 Posted July 5, 2008 Well got the engine running yesterday so took the Mi for a "spirited" drive yesterday round some country roads. bit of a creaking coming from the rear passengers side when going round sharp corners or roundabouts. could this be rear beam failiure or a trailing arm? car has been off the road for about 3 years if that makes any difference. going to re-furb the beam but dont really want to go doing it straight away. DamirGTI 342 Posted July 5, 2008 Yes dismantle the beam ASAP and check the arm shafts/beam tube , if they're in good condition replace the bearings , arm seals and grease throughly the beam tube .. cos later , it'll could be too late (fingers crossed that it isn't already knacked) ... Rgs ! Damir
