If an impact driver doesnt work, then as said, drill.

i really don't understand why they're ever done up tight tbh, they're just there to locate the disc, not hold them on.

If you're not reusing the discs just move the caliper out of the way and tap the discs off with a hammer, the screw heads will easily shear off and then the remains usually unscrew very easily with molegrips.

Or leave the remains in place

they aint realy required

it is another line i can supply at a cost of £2 per four inc post.

I personally find the caliper keeps them in adequate position. It's just another screw to round off and cause problems IMO

noooo hammer in a torx bit, far more effective than an easy out.

Pesonally think those screws are really worthwhile as it makes getting the wheel on a lot easier. Worth replacing them for the later torx headed ones rather than the early crosshead ones as they're lots less prone to rounding, and slap a bit of copper grease on when you fit them.

If you can get hold of them some nice Stainless CSK screws do the trick nicely, a friend that works for a fasteners company gave me a handful and I've now replaced them on most of my cars
