oli-pug 6 2 Cars Posted July 1, 2008 I'm mid gti6 conversion, just waiting to fit the gearbox now but a bit unsure on what parts to use. Basically, i'm using a xsara vts gearbox with the Mi16 clutch to convert to the 205 push type clutch system. Firstly, i'm having trouble removing the clutch fork off my gti be3 box due to the pin being seized, but i've read a bit of drilling can sort this. Now, i've already bought a pair of fork bushes for the vts box, but they're white. Will their inner diameter be ok to fit my pre 93 fork? Finally, can i do away with the 205 style pivot arm and securing pin by fitting the xsara parts or again, will its diameter not match up to the pre 93 release fork? Thanks

Alastairh 47 Posted July 5, 2008 (edited) Gotta ask mate. Why did you change to the older style clutch with the newer style box and not save the hastle? Car is looking great looking through the conversion pics. Al Edited July 5, 2008 by Alastairh
oli-pug 6 2 Cars Posted July 5, 2008 To be honest i don't know lol Bought the clutch absolutely ages ago when i first got the engine, didn't realise it was a pull-type one on it at the time. I just read somewhere on here that the mi clutch was what you need for this conversion so without thinking about it i ordered the push type. Schoolboy error i suppose
