Help Identify This Random Plug...

Recommended Posts

Alastairh

Im currently on the home straight of doing a heater box swap on my 93' Sorrento.

When removing the dash i noticed this plug not connected to anything close to the heater box/dials, and the dash has been out before. Whilst the dash is out im trying to trace down the problem as to why my rev counter doesn't work, with continenty to the coil and earth, and trying a spare set of dials and no luck.

Pin 1 - Earth

Pin 2 - 6a + 5m

Pin 3 - 25 and backwards L

Pin 4 - 33E + LEC

I had a scan through the haynes last night with no success, and also resorted to ripping my Mi's dash board apart, but stopped as i had came to the conclusion its behind it.

Any help?

Al :D

was wondering that. or maybe the superfusticator?

what about the stereo (although the red lead doesn't really help there)? presume the wires aren't numbered - ?

I don't recognise it at all, so I'm wondering if it goes to the lights on warning buzzer fitted to later models, as it's the only commonly fitted component missing from the spec of models I have stripped / re-wired or changed dash on!!

seeing as yours is a 93 and its situated by the heater box, it maybe something to with aircon.

they seem to have the loom without the components fitted.

my own gti had all the electric window looms in it, but no window motors.

Well it doesn't seem to be an obvious one. I have a clifford, and no air con so thats rueled that out for requiring it.

Im down the scrappy tomorrow, so shall quickly sledge a dash out and have a nose at that one. If no luck i shall just chuck it back together and leave it.

Cheers Al
