Hi guys,

Does anyone know the size of the bolt/nut so I can replace with new. May as well do both sides.

Thanks!!

if its just the nut you have damaged and the joint is still nice and stiff then yes you can just replace it, beware that the O.E thread size is finer than std, but a dealer should be able to supply a suitable replacement.

Its worth getting branded OEM parts as they dont cost significantly more, I usually get my parts from GSF or ECP, though I'm not familiar with their branches down your way both do Mail order.

£16 from GSF or about £12.50 from ebay it seems...

I'm tempted for £13 odd to replace the whole tie rod ends. Is it simply a case of unscrewing it from the main rod (counting turns) and then screw the new ones in... or is it a right pain?

The joint seems fine but the nut is just spinning, doesn't matter which way I go it won't move. Boohoo!
