feb 47 Posted June 25, 2008 Hi, When the clutch pedal is pressed there is a very small squeak noise (sounds more like a bird noise). You really have to struggle to hear it (only happens when I start the car from cold and for a short while, above 30km/h you can't hear it because it is masked by road/engine noise. I haven't heard it when the car is warm. What could this be? Is it the release bearing of the clutch? Should I worry about it or not? I am going to the Ring in August and don't fancy being without a clutch suddenly. The car is a 2007 WRX with 21k km. Cheers
AdamP 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Does sound like the thrust bearing to me. Could just be a little noisy or could be on its way out, that's the problem with bearings, you really can't tell.
