Pug 306 Front Shocks For 205 Non Gti Q(+)

I am new to this forum. I have 1.1L Peugeot "92, standart. I have a question with regards to the front shock absorbers. Are the 306 struts a direct replacement for 205? I read just a few messages on the forum which confirmed it. Just want to confirm it on emore time before I buy a set of 306 struts for my car.

The reason I wonder is that in Russia where I live there is a manufacture which produces one-tube shocks (the structure is similar to belsteins) but they are way cheaper. In the catalog there is no a model designed especially for 205 but they have shocks designed for 306. What do you think - can I install them? And will they work?
