2052006 10 Posted June 21, 2008 I have now changed my rear shoes, front pads, discs, front flexi hoses and fitted 1.9 front calipers with new seals etc. Have bled the system through but braking is weak to say the least! Pedal travels quite a long way before anything happens and then when it does it doesn't offer very much stopping power...Definitely not right. Was wondering: Could this be the new pads/discs taking time to bed in? Maybe still air in the system - but have gone round it twice and no more bubbles coming out (in correct sequence) Master cylinder fubared - it's the original - maybe gave up during bleeding? A good setting point for the rear drums is when they spin a couple of times with the wheel fitted after you let go showing the shoes are in light contact with the drum imo.
