Hi all,

Last race meeting out at Rockingham my car developed a slight rattle from the back. :) Having got it up on stands and removed the NSR wheel, I noticed that the bracket that a ) locates the handbrake cable and b ) clips onto the copper brake pipe was not attached. The bolt that normally locates the bracket (see below) was nowhere to be found:

(Sorry for the poor picture quality, it was taken on my phone.)

Does anyone know/have to hand the size of the bolt that locates that bracket into the threaded hole I am pointing at? All answers gratefully received, because the car lives at work and I won't be able to get to it to take the other wheel off/have a look at that side for a couple of weeks and I want to see if I have anything suitable in my toolbox!

Many thanks in advance,

Frodo :D

will be a good idea to run a tap through the hole just in case, its M8 x 1.25.

bolt is about 12-15mm long, but can be longer as its not a blind hole

I bet it handled rather oddly!

Use a good quality bolt and some threadlock on the next one and do the other side too, It's the only thing that make the ARB work

Two of those from my garage stash, Loctite, grolly it in with the impact wrench - job done!
