just slap some locktite 5920 in there, it'll be fine

Yeah.

 

Even coat roughly 1mm thick and you'll be fine.

doesn't one side seal onto the thermostat in the normal way anyway? anty kind of high temp sealant from a car parts place will do the trick, Wurth and Nissan RTV is the best I've used.
