kilauea 7 Posted June 14, 2008 Argh! Just had one of those really annoying sweating swearing sessions in the garage. I had my cam-belt changed by some charalaton who calls himself a "Peugeot specialist", and he didn't bother his arse to put the bottom two bolts in the cam belt cover (Metal type). Of course, it rattles like s*it under acceleration. Anyway, I think I got some bolts to fit - but I am starting work out why he didn't bother now. I think my hands are too big or something cos I can't get near to them. Anyone got any nifty tips to get them on or clever work arounds? Ta', G.

kilauea 7 Posted June 14, 2008 They are just plain awkward, try supporting the engine on a jack and removing the top half of the engine mount to get (slightly) better access. Cheers Tom. I just managed to get the front lower one in - but now the top two don't line up and you can forget the lowest one! At least I'm not doing anything stupid - I might try your tip tomorrow. How risky would it be to run without the cover if I had to btw?
Tom Fenton 1,542 Posted June 14, 2008 I personally don't like to but each to their own. It came off so with a bit of perseverance it ought to go back.
