floodys 4 1 Cars Posted June 13, 2008 just a quick question, my 306 HDI makes a rattle from the enginge through all the gears but only under load and between 2-3k revs, when it hits 3k the noise go's, i spoke to a fitter at the main dealer and he seems to think its the EGR valve? has anyonre changed one/had a problem with one etc, the guy also said it wont come up on a diag check, the other thing he suggested was injectors but thought that it wouldnt be them as car has only done 100k. any help please Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
RossD 44 Posted June 14, 2008 The early HDi's did this after a few miles, its the injectors usually. Of the 4 HDi engined cars I've had, 2 have done it!! Its nothing to worry about really, if you are that concerned you could try some new injectors! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
