Ben,

Hi yes, that's the one. Have you got the other graphite grey one I've seen running around?

lol, i think that's me! Our cars look almost identical (apart from your nicer trim!)

Another vote for a group buy!

Although, for those that prefer black, wouldnt this be just as good?

Hey Shalman, nice meeting you. I saw yours on the way home today - she's looking much better now! See you put that quarter-badge on too - good work! We'll have to go out for a spin soon!

Gtiry - Thx, Ebay are a pain in the ass and make it as obstuctive as possible to get new businesses going! I suppose they are trying to protect buyers, anyways, I have built some feedback now so listings are up with buy-it-now.

Pete, group buy could be done if it was outside Ebay as the fees are so high! It's probably more hassle than its worth tho for a couple of quid - not like getting £50 off a some suspension! Not sure about that forever black stuff, not tried it - I know that the Plasticare black stuff works wonders tho :D

Just done a hunt for this thread as I remembered it from a while back - I've just had my bumper cracked in a car park. I've grabbed some Plasticare from eBay, but what kind of fibreglass/filler do I need to look for?

At first I felt umbrage at the damage, but now I think it's a good excuse to spruce up the trim a bit!

EDIT - By the way, is your Plasticare still doing the trick after all these months or have you needed to top it up?

I have a bottle of this and it didn't work for me at all. Most of it ended up on my hands and the bumpers stayed looking rubbish.

If you want another permanent fix, try gtechniq's trim treatment. The trim needs to be cleaned to death before applying but it will stay dark and it lasts for months (had it on mine for nearly a year with no loss of sheen or colour)

I used the black Plasticare on my Ph1 car (which was very faded) and it's come out really well. I cleaned it all down with celly thinners and then dilutd the dye with a tiny bit of thinners before brushing it on. 1/2 a bottle did the whole car, been on about two months now and still as good as the day it went on, very impressed

i put a lot of work into colouring the trim using halfords flexible vinyl paint. was lovely for about 3 months, then peeled like a bastard after thorough cleaning, degreasing etc.

i've bought some of this plasticare stuff and am hoping for good things. did a repair to the bumper yesterday and it seemed to cover it well

Ed, yes I went for black. Mine plastic was almost white and it's much better now, well recommended.

I use Autoglym bumper care on the bumpers. It might work for the dash as well, but It is a oily substance and you may want it only on the outtside and not on the inside trim. Having said that its great for the bumpers, protects from the rain and brings back the original dark grey colour for about 6 months.

Good product, highly recommended. It sorted my trim out a treat, although it needs doing again now, after about a year - which as far as I'm concerned is bloody good going. The trim hasn't faded particularly badly, it could just do with a spruce up to look 100% mint again. probably have enough left in the bottle (assuming it hasn't dried up...) to do it again.

hey im looking to buy some black plasticare for my car, im also after a black (rather than grey) interior. I have heard people talking about how you could use plasticare on the interior. Has anyone done this?? If so pictures would be great, if not any opinions on how it would work. I think it would dye the harder plastic fine, just not sure about the cussiony stuff infront of the passenger.

Thanks

By the way loving the gold wheels on that white gti!!!
