Cameron 16 Posted June 12, 2008 As some may know, I've been building an engine with an Mi bottom end and GTI6 head running on Emerald management, and yesterday I had it mapped. Here's the RR printout, 176 bhp and 141 lbft which is just over what I was hoping for. Although Dave Walker reckoned that it could make another 10bhp if the cam timing was adjusted better. If anyone wants to see the build, have a look at this thread: http://www.frenchsportsclub.com/forum/inde...showtopic=15702 Still have a few issues to sort out, it chucks a fair bit of oil out of the breathers, filled my 1L catch tank up about half way in about 3 hours which is a bit much. Cameron 16 Posted June 12, 2008 Oh, and a video! This was on the way back to Hatfield, I spotted some nice looking tunnels. I was probably only revving to about 4K as I don't have a rev counter. welshpug 1,675 Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) is that on standard 6 cams? re-the breathing of oil, the gti6 has a valve in the pipe from the rocker cover to the inlet (as does the S16 and most PSA Diesels AFAIK), when this valve is closed the crank case is effectively sealed off. maybe you need to put this valve in the line to your catch tank?
