Droplinks..

I need to replace both my front droplinks at the weekend.

Should I do this with the car on the floor or should I jack it up and remove the wheels?

Jacked up because then the ARB won't be under any load, and wheels off just for access really. Pretty simple job. :)

So it will settle itself in the correct position once I lower it right?

tbh i just jack up one side at a time and use the jack handle to lever the ARB off the bottom of the drop link using the underside of the wishbone, once i've undone the nut. Pretty quick and easy (assuming as mentioned nuts come off nice and easy )

angle grind the buggers off if they wont play :)

and when you refit the new ones cover the threads in copper slip to prevent future seizing

That's exactly what i set out to do until i discovered my nice new shiny angle grinder didn't actually have anything in the box to grind angles with. :)

Guess where the angle grinder came from. :) I had no idea that there were none in the box until I cam to use it.
