Anulfo 22 Posted June 10, 2008 Hi guys im running 195/50 tyres on the 15inch 205gti rims (as im sure a few of you guys are too)....Just wondering what kind of pressures you are running? Im guessing 29-30psi??
swordfish210 20 Posted June 10, 2008 I run 27F and 26R on my TU engined 205 with 1.9 wheels. I would suggest on yours that for road use with a normal road tyre you sould try 28 all around as mentioned previously
Fox 3 Posted June 10, 2008 I've been running 30 all round, I'll try 28 now!
jimistdt 1 Posted June 10, 2008 I am running at 29 PSI. I had to take it down from the 32(!) that the garage had put in when I bought new tyres. I no longer experience as much understeer with the lower pressures.
M_R_205 5 1 Cars Posted June 10, 2008 XS on 165/55/13 40 psi, the way petrol is going every little helps
GTI6BOY 29 Posted June 11, 2008 28psi all round, Sticks like glue
number2301 1 1 Cars Posted June 11, 2008 Isn't 32 standard for the front? I haven't driven my car in ages but I seem to remember it being 32F/29R as per the manufacturers recommendation. Never fiddled with it though.
McDude 33 Posted June 11, 2008 30 Front 26 Rear I'm running SBC Phase II suspension - it is their recomendation to run the rears that low to get some heat in the tyres. Sticks like sh1t to a blanket.
Grim.Badger 15 Posted June 11, 2008 Just to be awkward; 28 front, 30 rear as the front tyre pressure will increase more with driving as the drive tyres should be warmer than non-drive tyres. Still sticks like glue
