Race Car Brake Setup

Recommended Posts

Bally

This is what I have, tell me the best way to utilise them without buying anything more.

406 Master cylinder 23mm 4 port.

Front 306 calipers

Rear 205 calipers

Hydraulic handbrake.

Brake bias valve

This is what I am thinking.

The two front ports from the Master cylinder go to the two front calipers.

The two rear ports go to a tee, from the tee ( one line ) to the brake bias, fro the brake bias to the hydraulic handbrake, from the hydraulic handbrake to another tee (split back to two) and then from the tee to the back calipers.

Sounds right? or should I blank one of the back ports coming out the MC and only run one line and split to two at the back to the calipers.

As you say you can just blank one of the outlets from the bback of an MC then run a single line through the car with the bias and handbrake in, then T it under the boot floor to each caliper.

Should stop well with that

car needs working handbrake to pass regulations. Much prefer the hydraulic in compared to the cables cause they stretch and don't lock up like the hydraulic one.
