What Is The O/e Colour ?

Recommended Posts

hi people.

i'm refurbing a rear beam, and i'd like to paint it in the original colours it was when new

i know some people paint them black with either bright red or yellow torsion bars, but as said, i'd like to keep it as original as possible.

the beam is fully stripped of all parts, which will be going to be shot blasted next week

the beam tube colour at present is like a mustard yellow, and i think the torsion bars are supposed to be like a red oxide colour. but i'm not sure, because of all the dirt and rust :D

any advice or pictures greatly appreciated

thanks

I have just cleaned up my rear beam and it came up in yellow and red like the picture shown Would be handy to find the paint code but i think a bright yellow and a bright red will look the part

yep, yellow, with red-oxide coloured torsion bars and black ends to the tube, front brackets would normally be in Zinc passivated colour yellow/gold.
