Phase 1 Dash Loom Compared To Phase 2 Dash Loom

Recommended Posts

Hiya guys

Last night I finally removed the heater box and the dash loom out of my Phase 1 CTI.

I've got a Phase 2 dash loom for my new Phase 2 dash which I’m putting in and I compared the 2 looms last night.

It appears that the Phase 1 loom has a lot more plugs compared to the Phase 2 loom. There are some similarities but I’m wondering if everything is there for the Phase 2 loom? Theres nothing cut etc so i'm guessing it is.

Did the simplify it when moving up the Phases?

Also I plan on adding electric windows to my CTI and I have everything for that, apart from the wires don't have any plugs on, I was wondering are they supposed to plug directly into the fuse box or do I need to just splice them into a live and earth wire?

Hope you can help

Hiya guys

Really could do with some help on this. Someone has bought the old Phase 1 loom so need to send it off.

I've added some pictures of the 2 Looms next to each other to see if any of you can help.

The loom at the top of the photos is the Phase 2 loom and the the loom at the bottom of the photos is the Phase 1

This one is of the whole looms

This one is of what i think is the fuse box section

This one is of what i think is the middle section where the heater switches are

This one is of what i think is the steering column section

As you can see the Phase 2 loom appears to have less wires and plugs than the Phase 1 loom.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Well, you've identified the sections correctly! Is the engine still in place? The main other difference between phase 1 and 2 looms is the positioning of the tachy relay, and the engine sensor loom enters from the n/s bulkhead (sorry don't know where it goes from here) on ph1, where the ph2 sensor loom enters with the ecu loom and plugs into 2 brown multiplugs to the right of the heater I'll try and see on my scrapper where the plugs go from there. As you're going MI anyway, this is a section of the loom that will need attention as part of the conversion. Hopefully someone will knoiw exactly is different in the MI conversion between phases, Afraid I can't help there, but I probably have this part of the loom spare if you need it.

Ignore that post! multiplugs are on the loom already!

Yeah the ph2 loom will have most of the wires within the bigger plugs, i found the ph2 loom even different to the ph1.5 loom but all the wires are there just in different plugs.
