Tom Fenton 1,548 Posted June 4, 2008 Yes it is possible. Obviously the cambelt has to come off first.

cyman 1 1 Cars Posted June 5, 2008 Its defiantely possible & not actually that hard if you have any amount of mechanical know-how. Graham. Cheers for that guys. To be honest i'm a little pissed becouse i know i checked the pump before i put the engine back in. I could not remember if there where any long bolts that would not clear the side of the engine bay. I hope it's nothing more that a water pump/gasket ????????!! Anyone one had similar experiance of strange water leaking from that area ?
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted June 5, 2008 Anyone one had similar experiance of strange water leaking from that area ? Not experienced it personally but what else have you done to the engine whilst it was out of the car? If you had the head off did you fit both the thick & thin spacer under the headbolt above the water pump? All the bolts are short enough to get out with the engine in the car. Graham.
