marc t 0 Posted June 3, 2008 Hi, sorry if this is a repeat question but I couldn't find it within a search. I have to get a new back box (along with a list of other stuff) and wondered if the fittings and hangers were the same on the 205 GTI back box (currently a slide on type) is the same as a 309 GTI one. - I know the 309 one does have a lot longer tailpipe but i was going to cut the part that points down off to allow a chrome finisher to go on and thought if I found a second hand 309 one I could use this instead and cut the tail pipe in the correct place. pacey205 2 Posted June 3, 2008 Thats exactly what I have on my car. The hangers need bending to fit but its not alot of work. I also chopped off the pipe and modified it to come out straight rather than at an angle as I prefered it that way. HTH Michael Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
