TIM 0 Posted May 30, 2008 hi, have a 205 gti6 track car. having some issues on keeping it cool. rad demensions are 800x200x50mm with twin fans. new headgasket,w pump, thermostat removed. when on track with fans on still runs at 95 deg, would overheat without them on. when off track and up to temp it is still very slow to cool down. rad is small in height, but has more capacity than a stanard one. any help greatly appreciated
tidypug 5 2 Cars Posted May 31, 2008 (edited) Couple of questions please. Do you run an oil cooler? If so which do you run? Edited May 31, 2008 by tidypug
engine killer 6 Posted May 31, 2008 do you have a proper cowling for your fans? read an article sometimes ago says how a proper cowling makes significant improvement on cooling.

Garry 1 Posted May 31, 2008 Have a look in here, it may give you some answers: http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=90746 My car has always run hot, especially when sat in traffic but it has been OK when on the move. I found running an oil cooler helped keep the temperature down, but as you say, you already have one.
