205johnnyxsi 0 Posted May 28, 2008 hello i just priced up new bits for my car to do this weekend.... clutch drive shaft flywheel talking about 180 pound not moaning or anything but i just been offered a 1.9 low compression and shaft for 120 that comes with gearbox as well so as you can see seams alot better off for me due to have another box and engine for spares ect ect...... it came from a cti..... my questions are... Its does not come with wireing loom.... will my loom be ok to run the engine 2nd comes with no ecu... will my e.c.u work fine if all in right should the ecu and loom run it fine with no truobles... also with it being a low compression i was thinking about turboing it in the further what sort of mess will i have to go trough... thanks Johnny Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

AdamVester 0 Posted May 28, 2008 it will work yes!! you wont need to redo any of the wireing and yeah turboing is a good idea but your lookg at a big bill for doing it. it might be low compreshion but you need to setup a 5th injector, wiring, turbo manifold etc, etc. might aswlel just buy a turbo lump be cheaper. the engine is only 105bhp also the 1.6 has 115bhp (or near to it) the 1.9's say they are 130 but its rare they make it (mine made 129.8 though ) but yeah dump something else in man get a mi16 or gti-6 i recommend it. yeah if you want to turbo it just scrap the engine and buy a 2L turbo!!! for the price of turboing it and making it reliable you can buy a XSI engine and gti-6 cams and inlet and a supercharger kit Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
