Stu 18 Posted May 25, 2008 I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about BTCC style '6 inlets, and i wondered what the inside of an Mi inlet looked like. So, has anyone removed these trumpet castings and smoothed the throats? Top view, with the core plug removed. Any thoughts? Obviously the throat will need to be reshaped, but i wondered what (if any) effect would be seen by removing them?
Baz 421 Posted May 25, 2008 Probably not alot tbh, not enough to warrant the hassle IMO.
KRISKARRERA 2 1 Cars Posted May 26, 2008 And what are those round plug things for on the front of the inlet?
Stu 18 Posted May 26, 2008 I would presume its from the casting process, the 'core' used for casting the detail on the inlet throat would probably have been pulled out from where the plugs are i would think. But then, i could be talking complete crap. It has been known.
