floodys 4 1 Cars Posted May 24, 2008 i,m starting to build a rally car/track car, problem i have when cornering hard with 1/4 tank of juice the car splutters, i've heard about anti surge things that bolt inside car with fuel in all the time so it dos'nt starve the car. anyone heard of these or know where to get one? cheers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
chownr 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Do a search for "swirl pot" Effectively a 2nd in line reservoir (possibly baffled) that helps prevent the surge you describe. Means you need two fuel pumps and if its a competition car a bulkhead between the 2nd tank and the passenger compartment Some say that later tanks had slightly revised design to prevent surge but I cant definitely confirm this Rich Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
