gti_al 1 Posted May 22, 2008 Noticed the pedal getting too long tonight, and found it was almost out of fluid. I figured a hose must have let go for this to happen, but when i got home (after filling it up and giving the brakes a workout all the way back), the tank was still full. I did notice that the carpet was wet with what i suspect is brake fluid though The master cylinder is maybe 18 months old - i assume this has let go, filled the servo up with brake fluid and it is leaking into the car? Anyone got any ideas why it would die so fast? I have 283mm 307 brakes and a standard 205mc. Does the fluid come into the car if the servo fills up?
gti_al 1 Posted May 24, 2008 Looks like the seals between the mc and reservoir have been leaking... the reservoir also seems to move quite a lot, but i'll start with the seals and see what happens
