TaffyTim 6 Posted May 20, 2008 Hi On a trackday yesterday 2 of my nuts came off from the mount. Looking at past pics of the engine bay they have been loose for a while When tightening them back up 2 of the studs were spinning too so i better replace them too Is there much difference in price between Peugeot ones and gsf ones? Does anyone have the part no's to hand? Heres a pic just to confirm what im on about: ta Tim
2-Pugs 57 Posted May 21, 2008 Not sure you'd need to replace the stud, just loctite them back into the block. The nuts aren't nylock, but maybe you should fit some if you're having trouble with them loosening?
C_W 3 1 Cars Posted May 21, 2008 I used to have trouble with those coming loose too, never sure why (I was running standard engine mounts too). I used to have to tighten them so much that the washers would split!

Most of the bits that have been replaced on the car were of low quality, so every time something goes wrong I want to replace it with something that i can trust and not worry about. pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted May 21, 2008 The studs should just tighten back up into the mount, a drop of loctite on them wouldn't go a miss though. A couple of M10 (iirc) nyloc nuts & wshers should help prevent them coming loose again. You should be able to get these from any decent hardware store rather than paying silly money for the same bits from peugeot but if you want to order new studs as well the part # is 6932.38. Graham.
