Side Exit Exhaust Through The Body

Recommended Posts

Anton green

I am thinking of where to locate my exhaust seeing as I will have to make something up for the turbo engine anyway. One of many ideas I am considering is to run a pipe which will exit the exhaust tunnel, radius through 90deg through the interior and exit through the side of the body in an exhaust shaped hole. Are there issues I will need to be aware of apart from the increased cabin temps and fumes?

Thanks

Unless there is a defininte reason that it HAS to come out there I'd save yourself an awful lot of work and route it the normal way.

Or you could do like a Nova driver near me does and have huge drainpipes rise through the boot floor and out of the tailgate. Lovely.

I'll skip on the drainpipes.

One possible issue could be water ingress through the exhaust exit hole in the side of the bodywork. So far I havent thought up the solution yet but ideas are forming.
