Dishwasher Help With Cylinder Head

hello, ive had a search, but can find much,

 

i have a stripped down mi16 head, what do i have to make sure is off the head before putting in the dishwasher.

 

the valve guides are still in, they ok to be washed to?

Its only about 30 quid for a chemical clean, i'd go down that route to be honest...besides will the other half be pleased to find a cylinder head in "her" dishwasher :blush:

run automatic transmission fluid in with your oil after you put her back together and the engine internals will be clean as a whistle in no time

hahahaha, well my lass did kick off a bit, so could i use parafin? with out it damaging the valve guides etc. would it do any damage at all using parafin

Someone told me to use whitespirit to clean up the head. So if you've got any of that kicking around try that. Unless someone on here says otherwise.
