Running In Oil

I am just finishign off my Mi16 conversion. The engine and gearbox have been rebuilt what oil do i want for both? I rang a local shop 2day and they siad they dont do it but to use 20-50 semi. Is this correct?

Id go for a straight mineral oil regarding the engine running in process :D

Same here; I used the cheapest boggo standard *mineral* oil my local motor factor sold... gearbox I'd just put straight onto the standard stuff though.

Asda smartprice mineral oil will be ideal

gearbox oil is 75w80.

 

Just use 20w50 mineral for first stage of running in as said. :D
