Craigb 2 Posted May 13, 2008 On the last rally I did , the power steering failed halfway through the day , with fluid pouring out as fast as you could put it in . last night I managed to get underneath and start to remove things. As I took off the first pipe to the rack , it came away in my hands, the formed flange just fell off . So I took the other one off and a similar thing happened. It all became apparent when i took the ram off though, the rear bush had discintegrated , this meant that every time I turned the wheel , the rambody was moving and the two pipe were moving , leading to a fatigue condition.
