Where Can I Find The Map Sensor On An Xu9ja

So Where can i find the Map sensor on my Mi16 engine please and does anyone know what pressure these are capable of measuring?

you say XU9JA in the title but Mi16 in the post :ph34r: which is it?

 

XU9JA is the 8v, and runs and AFM no MAP, 1.9 Mi16 also runs AFM no MAP.

 

2.0 Mi16 runs a MAP sensor, but rather more difficult to test as its inside the ECU.

its an Mi16, but i've always been told Xu9Ja does mean mi16. Ok, do you know the actual code for the Earlier Mi then?

 

its an alloy block 1.9 Mi16 from a BX 16v gti

 

My haynes manual seems to reckon its behind the alternator bracket but i cannot see it there?

XU9J4 not a :ph34r: 1.9's don't have MAP sensors, the only pressure sender near there would be the OIL pressure sender, which would be above the Oil filter.

All MAP sensors are either fitted on the inlet manifold or have a take off to them which are normally inside the ECU, No idea what the old joke book s on about behind the Alt mount

if you turn back a page it should say which management system and engine its applied to.
