Spiky 37 Posted May 11, 2008 ok, almost finished Rossi's car now, but i'm lost as to what the big brown wire is for as my conversion didn't have one, but mine was a GTI6 engine and loom, where as this one is a VTS engine and loom It's quite thick, like the Fuel pump but with no numbers on it reason i ask is the car dont start, i do have a switched live to the pin on the double relay but the fuel pump isn't priming. anyone? gti-si 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Its the permanant live on mine Spiky, the relay won't send the feed to the pump until it has that, or have you already wired the perm in?

shooter mcgavin 37 Posted May 11, 2008 might be worth checking the fuel lines mate i had the feed and return the wrong way aroud and the pump sounded guff and the engine would't fire or am i the only stupid (cough) to do this
Spiky 37 Posted May 11, 2008 was that for me? although the fuel lines look a bit dodgy, and run on the ex manifold, it looks. ok will have another look tomorrow,
smighall 1 Posted May 11, 2008 (edited) From the pics in the other thread the fuel lines look the correct way round. Edited May 11, 2008 by smighall
Spiky 37 Posted May 11, 2008 yeah, checked them earlier., thanks for the confirmation though it's either lack of fuel (in tank) or fuel pump, as i can here it fill around the fuel rail, but the pump sounds very weird.
