Handy Hint For Sorting Out Mouldy Leather

Recommended Posts

PhilCTI

Today I wanted to sort out my leather tonneau cover for my roof which has sat in my garage for ages.

It had a few patches where it had gone a bit mouldy probably due to damp. I didn't know what to sort it out with when my mother in law said she knew,

"Hairspray" will sort that she said, couple of goes later with the hairspray and all the mould had gone and it looked like new!

She'd seen it on one of those how clean is your house programs, (works for pen marks on leather sofa's too!)

I'm sure loads of you have sets of half leather and full leather seats hidden in your sheds! (nice set of half leathers can be donated to me if so desired)

Phil.

No, it just looks like leather but it doesn't matter, the hairspray works on either

It's the alcohol in the product that does it I believe.
