Bam 0 Posted May 9, 2008 hi guy's, little problem.... it seems to me, there would exist 2 diff. map sensor in xu10j4r models. one is looking like a normal mapsensor....the other one is boltet onto the inletmanifold. problem is: a friend has a xu10j4r engine, i've changed the inlet into gti-6 one... but he has the problem, that his mapsensor is bolted...die diameter is smaller then the hole for the stock mapsensor :-/ any ideas how to solve this problem? (should use gti6 map or stock-boltet-on-map->fitting??->liquid metal?!) i'm not sure to compare/measure both sensor's pic (no. 5 + 6) regards

Bam 0 Posted May 10, 2008 hey alync, thx for your replay...you are right, i have also extenden the wires too. i have used the 6 mapsensor... car is running fine... nice rumble tone too. but more power... ?! wich injectors did you used?think you changed only the manifold -right? I had to use the xu7 injectors-it didn't run right with the gti6 injectors. I think that the car has to be remapped to get more power, didn't get mine done yet though. Bam 0 Posted May 11, 2008 >I had to use the xu7 injectors-it didn't run right with the gti6 injectors. ok... i've suggestet my friend too, to use the stock one. i dont know the duty cycle of the stock inj. but i think they run around 80% -so we have round about 20% to compare the "airleak" the ecu dont know wich inj are running on car -but they know wich inj. timing should they run, ex. 2ms. the gti6 inj. injects much more gas in 2ms as the stock one.(in your case, it would to run to rich) it depends on, wich power you will use, to change the inj. i think also, by this little change to a bigger tb, the ecu calculate with an "airleak" and compares it. but if you would also change the cam's..than a remap is neccesarry... did you measure the volting from your lambdasensor?
