Rear Beam

Recommended Posts

The beam on my saxo has collapsed after only 65,000 miles! :D

I can get one from a scrap yard for £175, but i cant fit it. Can anyone on here do them?

Or can anyone refurb them?

There's a fair few members on here that can sort them out for you, Anthony and Pugtorque to name a few IIRC, fitting is quite a lot less involved than rebuilding them however.

whatever you do don't buy that beam for £175, a decent price for a second hand unknown beam from a scrappy round here is £40.

seeing as you're in Coventry I'd recommend you drop Neal at Des-developments a call, they're only over in Walsall.

As welsh said...dont buy it.

Unless you 100% that its in outstanding condition. Chances are its not. For that kind of money you could rebuild yours, providing it doesnt need shafts.

I Just completed taking all my rear suspension apart, if you can get it apart the hard bit is done. I was lucky, the bearings and shafts on mine are perfect so rebuilt with new seals and it'll be good as new. Give it a go!! If the internals are knackered then your no worse off and the refurb guide on the main site is great!
