swinney88 0 Posted May 9, 2008 almost finished my 205 mi16 project and i've read lots of things about oil starvation. i am going to fit a sump baffle. whats the best one to use and where can i get it. also its only going to be used on the road for the moment so will a sump baffle be adequate to stop oil starvation or should i get an exteneded oil pick up. Anthony 1,003 Posted May 9, 2008 Please do a search, as this has been covered dozens of times previously Simplist solution is just to put a sump from a 2.0 litre XU (aka XU10) engine and lose the spacer plate - it's not a total solution, but it's sufficient for the road and seems to hold up OK on track using road tires. For regular track use, especially on slick/semi-slick tires I'd look into getting an extended oil pickup from Petert.
