Car Is Running On Only Three Cylinders 205 Gti 1.9

as above my 205 gti 1.9 is running on only three cylinders i have diagnosed that it is the second cylinder in from the gear box side that is causing the issue.

i have taken the ht lead off the plug and put an old plug on the lead and it has a very strong spark so no problems there.

i get the impression the injector is some how blocked as there appears to be no fuel in that cylinder, i checked this by runnning the engine briefly without that plug in and could sense no sudden smell of petrol or see any vapour coming out of that pot, i then swapped the injector leads around between 2 & 3 cylinder and the cylinder next to the problem one has no issues fueling its injector with the lead off the possibly bad injector so i imagine that the leads are not at fault.

where do i go from here?

would love advice please.

cheers lucas

check the pins in the plugs, its not unknown for them to become loose and not make a good contact, you pushing it onto the other injector could have been enough to make it contact.

2-Pugs

Or if that doesn't work you could take the inlet manifold off complete but leave it laying loose, and turn the engine over for a couple of seconds. You should see fuel squirt out of each injector.
