Cheap Solution To Fit Carbs With Power Steering ?

Recommended Posts

Guest gilou-bilou

Hi,

Anybody have a cheap solution to fit carbs with power steering ? I plan to fit carbs (weber or bike) on my rally car, but i have an plates lsd. And i dont want to remove my power steering. Infortunatly, as you can see herebelow, i'am pretty sure to do not have enough space (due to the alternator location):

If anybody have a solution or already done that, please, help me !

PS: Sorry for my english languages

One solution is to drop the alternator down to the non-pas position, then use an electric pas pump from a 106/Saxo.

how about use mappable ignition, get rid of the dizzy and stick a pulley on the camshaft to drive the power steering so the alternator can be moved down.

Or put an electric power steering pump in from a saxo/106, even an electric column from a corsa or punto.

Yes you can, On this a 306 GTi6 (S16 167) PAS Pump was used as the pullies smaller and fit's better in the space, The Pipes need adjusting but and specialest hose company can do this, The only part you need is the bracket to mount the pump to the sump which you can get from me

Thanks, i will do like that !

I need also to think for new line for my stock oil cooler. The stock ones are exactly where i the new pump location is.

You can provide the bracket ? perfect !

I really start to dream about my engine with beautifull carbs !!!
