alternative 0 Posted May 5, 2008 My 1.9 CTi has been running GTi running gear for some time now - subframes, beam, struts, Speedlines, the lot. Recently the ride has deteriorated and is not compliant at all. Slightly better when cold but after a mile or two the ride is appalling and anything worse than a billiard table surface throws the car all over the place. Can anyone recommend the definitive shock absorbers for front and rear? I know the CTi is slightly heavier than the GTi but I'm planning to reuse the standard GTi springing (unless anyone has a better idea for road use). Many thanks and all suggestions gratefully received.

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted May 6, 2008 The Front Bilsteins are fine, Just do not buy the rears as they are well c***, the std Peugeot rear's are fine for a daily driver
