Fitting Dimma Kit

Recommended Posts

Guest trw144

Does anyone know of a guide to fitting the dimma kit to a 205 - whats involved/needs doing etc. I am going to be fitting it with my brother and dad and would like to have a brief guide to how its done.

Cheers

In brief, you will need to key up/ scruff up the 2 surfaces that are to be joined together. Some people like to use a bonder, some people go for fiberglass products. Once the kit is attached to the car, you then need to use a smoothing filler, just to blend in the kit to the car.

If its a proper dimma kit, i would have thought there will be a guide with the kit. Best bet, is to get the kit, work out all the pieces and where they will go on the car, then decide how your gonna attach it to the car.

you take off the front wings and are a stright swap with the fibeglass ones. the rear arches have to be cut to alow the rear arches to fit because they have the arch linner atached. You will need a sellent like tiger seal to bond the kit to the car. i also countersink riverts the hold the kit in place will the tiger seal sets.
