Replacing Parts After Accident Damage

Recommended Posts

petesy71

hi, i recently had a minor accident and hit the passenger side front wheel pretty hard side on against a kerb. i've noticed that the wheel has been knocked out of shape, showing positive camber, indicating that i've bent something, but not to sure what. to my untrained eye it looks ok and i would like to know what parts would be most likely to be bent and need replacing. the cars been driving like a bit of a dog since. i noticed that its visible in this picture,

thanks, pete.

could be a number of things, could have bent the wishbone itself or its moutning points on the subframe or could even be the subframe itself.

Get it jacked up and get the wheel off and have a look is the best thing

check for obvious signs of anything bent, could be wishbone or subframe, either of the two are fairly straightforward tasks to do, if you have no joy in pinpointing the cuplrit an accident repair centre or wheel alignment centre will be able to diagnose it for you.

Tesstuff

I had a very recent accident with mine and i bent the stub axle by hitting the kerb hard, it is on here so do a search if you need.

I had a new stub axle fitted and then my wheels laser aligned and its all good again.
