Dont run one, saw great hp losses on the dyno with it,have mesh infront the turbo.

i'd imagine things get pretty hot under there!!

 

RS turbos are bad enough at causing heat related problems from the turbo.. and there is loads of space compaired to that lol.

A correctly sized filter will maybe cost you 1 or 2 bhp, I've actually tried this myself on a turbocharged car on the rolling road and it made less than a 1 bhp difference, thats on a 220bhp car.

 

Mesh is nothing but a brick catcher IMO.

No air filter ever on the turbo setup and never on the Tb' setup. Ourroads here are quite good now all paved and no real B'roads as you call them. All paved roads and no dust as per say.
