Dead Starter Motor ... Again...

The starter motor in the supercharged pug has packed up, which means the everthing needs to come out again.

 

This means I need another one, but i need one of the small type (top in picture below) so it will fit in with the charger. My question is what pugs can I grab one from, new or used? I was looking at 98 1.8 406 yesterday and it right from he outside, but would it fit?

yes it would fit fine,any xu engined car 406, 306 etc

EW and DW starters will fit, some of them are even smaller.

Whats the difference between a diesel a petrol start motor? Is that diesel one just has more torque?

I see you are in Dorchester, there is a place in Tuckton, Bournemouth that can refurb them as good as new for only £40 and can give same day turn around.
