malyso 0 Posted April 25, 2008 I have two sets of Ford fitment alloys which I would like to use on my 205. The question is would you use 20mm spacers on a car mostly used on track, how much extra pressure would this put on the hubs etc etc..
welshpug 1,657 Posted April 25, 2008 less than if you were to run them without spacers (if that were possible that is) make sure you use Hubcentric spacers of the appropriate bore diameter and you'll have no problems.
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted April 25, 2008 All you are doing is just adjusting the offset (the ET value) from say 35 to 15 with spacers so they sit in the wheelarch. This should make minimal difference to the Peugeot axle wear rates etc. However if you were to put 20mm spacers on Ford wheels and fit them to a Ford, then the extra width will lead to the further load being taken on the hubs and can give earlier wheelbearing failure as any potholes have more leverage on the hub. As has been said, hubcentric spacers are what you need to make sure the bolts do not take the load of the car.

Seen these on the bay, is this what you mean? Clicky Not sure if the centre is too big though for the ford wheels will have to check... pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted April 25, 2008 They appear to be the spacers you'll need & they should have the right centre to fit the ford alloys imo. Ask the seller a question telling him what the alloys you want to use are & he should be able to give you an answer. Graham.
Jrod 7 Posted April 25, 2008 Says the centre ring is 65.1 which I assume will be both sides? Ford centre bore is 63.4 IIRC.
