Phase 1 And 2 Door Card Question

Recommended Posts

Hiya guys

I've just got my new door cards which match the new grey carpet i'm putting in my Phase 1 CTI.

The carpet is from a GTI but with a heat gun and the use of those plastic foot well bits from a GTI it will fit pretty well.

Now the door cards i've got are phase 1.5/2 so it has the extra bit at the top covering the top of the doors. This then obviously makes the red line not match up with the rear door cards.

I was wondering on Phase 2 CTI's were the rear door cards made differently so that the red lines matched. Or did they never use the door card which covers the whole of the door?

I have 3 options:

1, Dye the red lines on both door cards grey, so that they are not noticeable.

2, Remove the grey carpet from my phase 2 cards and put it on my phase 1 cards

3, Not bother at all...lol

Hope you can help

Or another option it to un-staple the plastic from the top of the phase 2 card and cut off the excess then re staple it, to maintain the same edge.

I do like the way these cards cover all of the door though.

So if anyone can shed any light on the phase 2 rear door cards for the CTI that would be great.

Thanks

The CTI always kept the phase 1 style of doorcard by showing the tops of the doors, even on L reg versions.

Cool thanks for that.

Looks like i might be trimming the extra off so they look like phase 1 door cards.
