13x5.5 Et20

I have one 13x5.5 ET20 steel wheel from a PSA car of some sort. I would like some more to put slicks on as they are a little wide for the 13x5 ET28s I have, but what are they from?

are you sure they are 5.5"?

106 uses 5"x13" on ET20.

just had a quick scan of Servicebox, 205 is the only car to use 5.5" wide 13's.

Definately 5.5. All the rest I have are 5x13, either ET28 or ET20.

Could they be citroen possibly?

Just got onto service box, could they be reference number number 5401 67?

I'm not at home so cant look at the part number, but 550 B13 FH 420 sounds about right, and it's white so that makes sense.

What 205s came with those wheels then?

I have a set of 4 Visa GTi alloys I was looking to sell cheaply, 13x5.5J although cant remember offset of the top of my head but can check if interested. They clear 1.6 calipers fine and should be ok with 1.9's if you remove the anti rattle springs

Look like this

Alloy cools better but I guess not such an issue on a hillclimb car.

Its not going to be running to the full heat capacity of the brakes anyway I shouldn't think. The main thing is for them to be easily replaceable, but I do also like the look of a set of steels with racing tyres on then ;)

Even if not interested in mine its worth finding the weight of any wheels you are thinking of using as extra unsprung weight is one of the worst things to have

The 13" steels with avon ACB 10s I run are almost half the weight of the 14" alloys with yoko's I also have! (10kgs vs 18kgs).

Steelies are surprisingly often lighter than their equivilent 'stylish' alloys ;)

Thats a good weight saving, its suprising how tyres differ in weight as well. I think the 13" 6J xr2 rims I run with Michelin slicks are about 12kg. Makes it even funnier when people put massive wheels on their cars!

Yeh the 160/530 michelin slicks and 6.0/21 ACB 10s I have weigh the sqare root of bugger all compared to the 185/60 yoko 21Rs. I'll do a more detailed weight comparison at some point I think, could be surprising for a few people! ;)
