Dismantling Petrol Cap ?

The previous owner has had my petrol cap sprayed body colour, and im trying to return the car to standard, so I want to remove the green central plastic but and replace it with a standard one. Anyone know how you remove the bit im talking about?

Just push it off with your fingers from behind, it clips on

nice one, its off! I used a butter knife to pry up the edges.
