I used a spot weld drill bit when i was taking out my seat mounts which worked pretty well. As well as a 2lb hammer and a cold chisel :)

Well , i've been using just plain drill bit (7mm.) and a flat shapr chisel ... and made a real mess - Swiss chesse :) , first i've over done the spots and drill them all the way inside trough both panels bag.gif, and next i've tried with just a little bit of drilling on the top panel and then hammering with the chisel from the edge , from the gap of both panels on the spots , but then i rip of the lower panel around the spot weld happy0045.gif damn ...

yes spot weld drill or you could get the proper tool its called a spotle, you set it to the right depth so you dont drill right through,,,, quite expensive tho

I prefer the drill bit type. The spring loaded ones always break i find. One of the teeth snap and its game over.

Like many things...slow is smooth..smooth is fast :D

Ok. then i'll buy drill bit type :P

But which size should i buy ? me thinks that the 8mm one will be the best :D (cos the spot weld on pug is roughly 5mm dia.)

Rgs ! :D
