Maplin Central Locking Door Actuator

Recommended Posts

stutto

I just fitted a maplins five wire into the drivers side door, having previously fitted a two wire out of the kit into the passenger door. I bought the four door kit as I could not get a two door one. Despite much searching I could not find a post advising which wire to connect to which, so I thought I'd post.

Found by trial and error and it appears to be working :) :

Actuator - Car

green - green

blue - yellow

brown - red

black - yellow/green

white - purple

(well I knew the earths and green-green seemed to be an obvious thing to try).

hmm..interesting !

Ive just bought a 2 pack of 2 wire motors off flea bay. After checkign my driver door, its already had a non gen motor, which is only 2 wire ? EVerything has been workign as expected though until it packed up.

Has a Cat 1 on it, but wouldnt think that would make any differance ?

Now I'm confused, unless you have a five wire in your passenger door?

I think the motors I took out were both original, both with moulded plug(s) and drivers one was bosch.

Mine appear to have the original and 2 wire motors :| I only had a quick peek so i could order a new one. Ill have to strip it and have a proper look. Im guessing the originals ones are broke, and someone couldnt be bothered to remove them !

As i said..when the alarm was put in..they might have changed something..as the al;arm sends the lock / unlock signals now..rather than the motor. Where as i think standard, the motor would relay the signal to the control box (if they have one) and / or the other motors.
